Benghazi-Petraeus-Broadwell-Allen-Kelley Scandal

With the elections over it almost seemed like I was going to run out of material for this blog. But that is not the case! This Benghazi-Petraeus-Broadwell-Allen-Kelley scandal is too crazy to not talk about.

Let's do a really simple recap of what promises to quickly not be a simple situation.

Was the CIA director until a few days ago
Knows a lot of dirt on Benghazi
Had an affair with Paula Broadwell (his biographer)

Accused of threatening Jill Kelley to stay away from Gen. Petraeus

Top US commander in Afghanistan (replaced Petraeus),

Accused of inappropriate communications with Jill Kelley (possibly nothing more than flirting)

Jill Kelley, supposedly 37 yr old socialite accused of inappropriate communications

Jill Kelley
Social organizer and volunteer in Tampa for military officials
Married
Received 20,000-30,000 pages of documents via email from Gen Allen
Started this whole scandal when she tipped off the FBI that she was receiving threatening emails from Broadwell
Friends with both Petraeus and Allen
Possibly having financial troubles that may or may not have anything to do with the rest of the story (probably not)

Questions-
Is there a political scandal as well as a sex scandal going on? Is the White House using Petraeus as a pawn to cover up something regarding Benghazi? Why is the timing so suspect that the affairs (going on since 2010) didn't come out till after the election, when Jill Kelley told the FBI back in August?

Answer (provided by White House, found in "The Independent" a UK paper)
The FBI only had cause or reason to inform the president as to the Petraeus scandal once he was re-elected. If he had not been re-elected, this would not have become an issue. Why? Because he cannot be renamed to his post as CIA director now.

Question-
Why was it okay for him to be the CIA director in the days/weeks/months prior to the election but not after?

Sit Rep-

General Allen is still at his post. As of 10:45 on Tuesday night, still has the backing of the President. 

Broadwell's North Carolina home was searched by the FBI on Tuesday. They are looking to make sure she was not given inappropriate access to classified materials. 

An FBI agent originally involved in the case has been removed because he was caught emailing shirtless photos of himself to Kelley.

Will Petraeus be able to or allowed to testify before Congress regarding Beghazi???
